There are four wine cellars within the villa. Built during different eras, these cellars are a real company resource both for the important historical character of the structures as well as the simplicity with which the cellars are fully operational. The first to be renovated was the cellar built in the early 1900s.
The small 70 hl cement tanks make up a comprehensive capacity of over 2500 hl, all completely revitrified and equipped with an air conditioning system.
"La Torre" Vineyard
(Area 3.5 hectares)
With western exposure, this vineyard is characterized by clay-like, powerfully structured soil and is the angle of the farm where it was decided to plant Sangiovese grapes of the company Chianti denomination.
(Area 4.5 hectares)
With southwestern exposure and sandy, clay-like soil, this vineyard is the second pole of the Chianti production, where Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes were planted.
"Le Erte 1" and "Le Erte 2" Vineyards
(Area 2 hectares)
Located south of the Riccardi Toscanelli villa, these vineyards are immediately recognizable for the snake-like waves of the rows of Sangiovese grapes visible from the hilltop. Clay-like soil rich in rock fragments makes this the ideal location for cultivation of this prestigious Tuscan variety.
